Dreams, Faith, Gratitude
I took to personality development fourteen years ago by attending and conducting seminars and workshops, reading books, putting into practice what I learned, made friends and enemies along the way, achieved success and endured setbacks.
A little more than a year ago I was introduced to Rudolf Steiner’s Anthroposophy, the Quantum world view and Rupert Sheldrake’s Morphogenetic Field. In the last ten years, I peered into Egyptian religion and Japanese Shintoism. Born and raised a Roman Catholic, I applied but was rejected into priesthood. I joined the early born again Christians in 1972, took to Buddhism and indigenous shamanism, rejoined the Christians in the early 80′s and finally said goodbye to religion in the 90′s. Through all these, I immersed myself like a diligent student by reading books, engaging practitioners in deep conversations and practicing the rituals and beliefs.
The internet has accelerated my search for knowledge and have come across information that would have taken me three lifetimes without it. I can now declare after my long journey that I choose to be an atheist as far as the god concepts that religions have fabricated over time. My concept of god is the universe itself with a life of its own. That god is the essence of the universe and not separate from it. God is the universe and we are a part of this magnificent being.
As I wish to be respected for my beliefs, be rest assured that I respect any and all beliefs that pertains to god and spirituality. That our beliefs, whether they are congruent or conflicting are all part of the same universe albeit belonging to different dimensions.
In every philosophy or religion that I have come across, in every success story and blueprint for success there are three fundamental laws that emerge as a commonality > Dreams, Faith and Gratitude.
Everything begins with a dream. A thought. An image. As creators, we have the ability to produce images in our minds, proceed to take action upon it and eventually see it come to fruition. “In the beginning was the word…and the word was made flesh” so goes the biblical myth now a scientific truth. The external world is but a manifestation of the observer’s inner world asserts the quantum theory.
Faith is believing that our thoughts can become real. “Think of what you want and not what you are afraid of” and “Hold on to your thoughts until they become real” are a few of my favorites quotes. When we see a child running and fear that he/she would stumble and he/she does…was it premonition or creation? When we wish for something and it comes to pass…was it destiny or creation?
Gratitude is paying homage to the creativity within us and the universal force of which we are a part of. It is being thankful for all that has come to pass, that is and shall be. It is accepting wholeheartedly all that there is.
I write this post in appreciation of all the people I have come across and shall meet in my journey, the events and incidents that brought me to where I am now, the knowledge and enlightenment I derive from it.
I write this for everyone who has come across my all time top notcher post “Failure” as my way of encouraging them to dream, have faith and be thankful. Not to stay down but always get up and move on with every stumble.
I write this as a reminder to myself and for everyone who are inclined to paint a bleak future because of our present circumstances. To encourage great thoughts and intelligent action to make our dreams come true.
I write this to remind ourselves that we create our beingness. ” I think therefore I am”.
